The hunt is over for the science fiction series Hunters, which has been canceled by Syfy, EW has confirmed.

Monday night’s upcoming season finale of Hunters, based on Whitley Strieber’s best-selling novel Alien Hunter, will instead serve as the series finale. The series had struggled to pick up steam with critics and viewers alike, as its final six episodes were previously pushed back from Mondays at 10 p.m. to midnight.

Nathan Phillips starred as Flynn Carroll, a Philadelphia cop, whose wife mysteriously goes missing. While trying to prove his innocence in her disappearance, he stumbles upon a classified government organization in charge of hunting down alien terrorists.

The last episode of Hunters airs Tuesday on Syfy at 12:00 a.m. ET.

The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news.
