America's Got Talent: NFL player-slash-magician earns the Golden Buzzer

(NBC)

Football players are taking over reality TV, and that’s not about to change any time soon. After JoJo gave Jordan Rodgers a rose on Monday’s The Bachelorette, Tuesday night’s America’s Got Talent saw NFL player-slash-magician Jon Dorenbos earn the Golden Buzzer that sent him straight through to the live shows.

The Philadelphia Eagles long snapper first showed off his card trick skills in the June 21 auditions episode of AGT, but this week, he went even bigger — bigger cards, bigger tricks — to impress the expanded judges panel that included Ne-Yo. Dorenbos began by having the “Let Me Love You” singer pick a card and then proceeded to guess the star’s card by drawing it in a notebook. Gasp! He drew the wrong card…

Or did he? Dorenbos proceeded to make that “wrong card” into a box, out of which Ne-Yo’s card soon popped. When the magical baller ripped the page from the notebook and handed it to the judges, their collective jaws were on the table.

“Can I do something?” Ne-Yo asked before slamming his hand on that Golden Buzzer.
