Amidst the hustle and bustle of the Emmy nominations Thursday, most of the shows that were not given the awards nod quietly stepped back to hope for a shot next year. Taking advantage of the occasion, actress Gillian Anderson decided to share a wonderful throwback Thursday photo to point out The X-Files reboot’s snub.

Taking to Twitter, The Fall star gave fans a glimpse into the past through a photo from the 1995 Emmy Awards. Anderson, in a sleeveless black dress and large white collar, stands opposite X-Files co-star David Duchovny, who is donning a smart silver suit with floral embroidery. “Shame they didn’t nominate us,” wrote the actress. “Just think what fashion trends we might have started.”

The pair may not have earned Emmy nominations this year, but Anderson was nominated four times for her role as Dana Scully (she won once), and Duchovny twice for his character Fox Mulder, during the original run of the sci-fi hit.
