Someone get Michael Scofield a piece of gum, please.

In a clip shown at Comic-Con on Sunday from the return of Prison Break, we see Scofield (Wentworth Miller) negotiating with a fellow inmate, and the situation over that gum seems pretty dire.

“I don’t think I’ve seen you this scared before,” he says to his pal.

“They are going to release all prisoners from solitary back into general population. The worst of the worst,” the friend explains. “They are going to kill me, you know. Government gave me 20 years for homosexuality. Those monsters in there, Ramal and his men, won’t let me live 20 minutes. Please tell me you still plan on getting us out of here.”

We soon learn that the men had a failed attempt at escape — a blackout wasn’t timed correctly — and Scofield blames his friend. The one thing the friend can do to make up for it is give up his gum.

“This gum is like gold,” the friend says.

“You want out of this place? I need it,” Scofield insists.

Prison Break returns to Fox in 2017. Watch the clip above and the trailer below.
