Two singles into the Glory era, pop superstar Britney Spears has yet to return to the dance floor. The G-Eazy-assisted R&B hit “Make Me” slinks through mid-tempo territory, while “Private Show” is as glacial as pop ditties come. The upcoming album’s third track, “Clumsy,” released Wednesday night, changes all of that.

“Clumsy, clumsy, bangin’ all over this bedroom again and again,” Spears croons in the track, which also features hand-claps and soulful vocal riffs as it builds to an explosive electronic drop. “Oops!” she playfully squeals, just before a sledgehammering beat kicks in.

Stomping drums and finger snaps carry the subsequent verses of the single, which is sonically in-line with songs heard on 2011’s Femme Fatale and 2013’s Britney Jean.

Spears’ ninth album, Glory, is set for release on Aug. 26. Buy “Clumsy” now on iTunes, and below on Spotify.
