There’s a lot to love about Sarah Michelle Gellar, but the way she can chow down is apparently at the top of her husband Freddie Prinze Jr.’s list.

On Wednesday, the long-time couple got together for a Facebook Live at the company’s offices to promote Prinze’s new cookbook, Back to the Kitchen. Many food-related topics came up, but none more interesting than Prinze describing the moment that Gellar impressed him during their first date.

“A lot of girls back then in Hollywood as far as the actresses, they didn’t eat, they ate salad,” he said. “And I had gone on a date with a handful of them; they would never eat what I would eat. You have to have that in common with me if we’re going to get along. And so Sarah came to dinner with me, and we sat down and she ate everything, including a crab that they let walk across the counter, then killed while it was alive in some oil and said, ‘It’s popcorn, try it.’ And she ate it without even blinking, and I was like, ‘Yo, my girl is legit.’”

Gellar, who first met Prinze when they costarred in the 1997 horror film, I Know What You Did Last Summer, added of the dinner, “And then the credit card company got the bill for that dinner and wanted to know if there was fraud on the card.”

While the couple is best known for acting, they both have jumped into the world of food. Gellar launched Foodstirs, which sells baking kits for kids, and Prinze’s Back to the Kitchen was released in June.
