Harry Potter may have bested Lord Voldemort, but how would Daniel Radcliffe fare against Queen Cersei or the Night King?
The actor doesn’t particularly care — so long as he gets to visit Westeros.
In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Radcliffe enthusiastically expressed his desire to cameo on HBO’s Game of Thrones, even if that cameo is a brief one. “I would love to [appear on Thrones],” he said. “If they want to just bring me in and f—ing kill me, I would be so happy to do that.”
Radcliffe wouldn’t be the first person to appear in Westeros briefly, only to see their character’s life ended quickly. Deadwood‘s Ian McShane popped up on last season to deliver some lines in a way only the Englishman could, before The Hound found him hanging as a result of a raid.
As for the potential of other TV work, the 27-year-old is being particularly selective. “I’ve recently read a couple of really good TV pilot scripts. But then it’s signing on for seven years.” he said. “Right now, I have a little bit of freedom. So if I read a script for something that’s filming next year, I don’t have to turn it down because I’m not available — which I did, for a long time.”
