The next generation of MythBusters has found its host.
Science Channel’s MythBusters: The Search has tapped Nerdist science editor Kyle Hill to lead the new program, EW has learned exclusively.
“MythBusters is the most iconic science series in the history of television, and Kyle is an enormous talent and the ultimate MythBusters super fan,” said Marc Etkind, General Manager of Science Channel. “With his encyclopedic knowledge of every MythBusters episode and stunt ever attempted, he is the ideal host to introduce our all-new myths and potential future mythbusters.”
Mythbusters: The Search is a competition show that seeks to find the next hosts for a revival of the Mythbusters flagship series. Contenders with build skills and science smarts will be judged each week as they bust various myths.
The original Mythbusters, starring hosts Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, ended after 14 years, airing its final episode last spring.
Mythbusters: The Search will debut sometime next year.
