San Francisco roots rockers Train released a new track titled “Play That Song” Thursday.
The single, which is the first new music the Grammy-winning band has dropped since their 2014 album Bulletproof Picasso, samples the melody from “Heart and Soul,” and features lyrics in which a man implores a DJ and then later a busker to play his girl’s favorite song. He has good reason for the request — this one particular song can make her “go all night long” and “stay out ’til dawn.” And apparently her dance moves make it all worthwhile.
“Play That Song” is the first single from Train’s forthcoming new album, out in early 2017. It will be the seventh studio album from the “Drops Of Jupiter” musicians.
