Katya’s anxiety nearly got the best of her across season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, but her talent pushed through the competition unscathed, ultimately big enough to warrant the 34-year-old a spot in the final four on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.

EW has an exclusive clip from the upcoming reality show’s finale, which shows Katya guesting on an episode of the Michelle Visage/RuPaul podcast What’s the Tee? to discuss her debilitating anxiety and the comical way in which she taught herself to overcome it.

“Your mother was here, and I thought she was just a dream,” RuPaul says to the Boston-based queen, referencing last week’s challenge, in which the final five contestants were tasked with drag-ifying various members of their family with fierce runway looks. Katya responds: “Thank God my dad’s a sociopath, so there’s balance.”

Though Katya admits she started this season of Drag Race with a little more mental balance than she had last time around, the little, doubtful voice in her head still reared her ugly head throughout the competition.

“One thing I’ve been coaching myself with is I sort of name that voice, I call her Brenda,” Katya says of the self-doubt which plagued her across her debut season on the show. “[Now] I just say, ‘You know what, Brenda? Shut the f— up!”

EW will premiere an exclusive clip from the final All Stars episode every morning leading up to the Oct. 13 season finale, which airs this Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on Logo and VH1.

Watch Katya tell “Brenda” to “shut the f— up” in the video below.
