Kid Cudi debuts jungle-set 'Frequency' video

Kid Cudi dropped a music video for “Frequency” on Thursday, just over a week after he posted an emotional note to Facebook revealing he was checking into rehab “for depression and suicidal urges.”

“Frequency” is off Cudi’s upcoming Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’, which was originally set to debut Sept. 30 but was delayed “due to some minor sample clearances,” the rapper revealed on Twitter the day before the scheduled release.

In his Facebook note, Cudi promised that “the album is still on the way.”

“I wanted to square away all the business before I got here so I could focus on my recovery,” he wrote. “Love and light to everyone who has love for me and I am sorry if I let anyone down. I really am sorry. Ill be back, stronger, better. Reborn.”

The “Frequency” clip, which Cudi also directed, features the musician dancing in what looks like a darkly lit jungle before he joins a couple of women in a bed. Watch the video above.
