In case more evidence was needed to prove Drake’s streaming dominance, here’s another piece.
Spotify announced Tuesday morning that the rapper’s dancehall hit “One Dance” has accrued over 880 million streams. It is officially the streaming service’s most-streamed song ever.
“One Dance” ruled the summer charts, sitting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks. The music trade also named the track its official song of the summer on the chart that tracked the “most popular hits based on cumulative performance on the weekly Hot 100 chart from Memorial Day to Labor Day.”
After its April release, Drake’s album Views held down the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart for 13 weeks. It became the first album to hit 1 billion streams on Apple Music and hit 1 billion total streams just over a month after its release.
