After eight seasons on House, Hugh Laurie dipped his toe back into television with The Night Manager, but with Chance, the Golden Globe winning actor is back as the face of a series. For the hosts of Bingeworthy, Laurie’s return proved to divisive.

During the latest episode of Bingeworthy, the new series from the People/Entertainment Weekly Network, hosts Jessica Shaw (EW Radio on SiriusXM) and Touré (MSNBC’s The Cycle) discussed Chance, Hulu’s latest series, and all they could agree upon is the show’s lack of urgency.

“This show is so slow,” said Touré. “I’m sorry, I just couldn’t get into it. Just make something happen, please.”

While Shaw agreed that the show’s build drags, she insists that it’s worth hanging around for Laurie and Boardwalk Empire veteran Gretchen Mol. “There is payoff,” says Shaw. “If you can stick with it, episode 3, episode 4, there is enough that keeps you coming back.”
