Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson talk about the iconic DeLorean from Back to the Future

Michael J. Fox and Lea Thompson celebrated their ‘80s hit Back to the Future by revisiting the stylish DeLorean. Talk about a blast from the past — er, future?

The latest episode of EW Reunites sees the stars back together in 2010 for the 25th anniversary of the movie, paying another visit to its iconic car-turned-time machine. While the duo shared several on-screen moments — Thompson played both Fox’s mom and unwilling “love” interest — they never burned rubber together in the DeLorean. “It’s a thrill for me because I didn’t actually get to shoot in the car,” said Thompson. “I just saw it in the background and didn’t get to be in it. I’m a little bitter, but that’s okay.”

Fox had semi-fond memories with his time-traveling device, despite the numerous times he couldn’t fit comfortably in it. “I just remember all the things with the car, like smashing my head on the door, or hitting my knee on the flux capacitor,” he said. “It looks good.”
