Tom Petty honored by Foo Fighters, Stevie Nicks, more as Musicares' Person of the Year

Tom Petty will join past honorees Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Phil Collins, and more as MusiCares’ 2017 Person of the Year.

On Friday morning, MusiCares announced that its fundraising concert to benefit Emergency Financial Assistance And Addiction Recovery Programs will honor Tom Petty for his “extraordinary creative accomplishments and significant charitable work.” Norah Jones, Elle King, and Randy Newman are part of the lineup of singers and musicians that will honor the rock legend during the gala, which will be held during the weekend of the 2017 GRAMMY Awards. 

Other performers include stars like Foo Fighters, Don Henley, Kings of Leon, Stevie Nicks, Jackson Browne, Regina Spektor, George Strait, The Bangles, Lucinda Williams, Gary Clark Jr., Jeff Lynne, and Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen. 

The gala, which will be held on Feb. 10 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, will begin with a silent auction followed by a dinner, the tribute concert, and the award presentation. GRAMMY week will conclude with the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards at Staples Center on Feb. 12.
