How Ali Wentworth and George Stephanopoulos find balance in their marriage

This article originally appeared on PEOPLE.com.

Ali Wentworth and George Stephanopoulos insist their marriage is all about balance.

Sitting down with PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly Editorial Director Jess Cagle, the couple are opening up about what’s helped keep their relationship strong for more than 15 years.

When Cagle asked the couple to describe their parenting styles, Wentworth jokes, “horrible.”

“Let’s just say we balance each other out,” chimes in Stephanopoulos, 55.

“We do. [He’s] more of the disciplinarian … but I’m the shopper. I’m the indulger,” shares Wentworth, 51. “But it works. Like he said, it’s a good balance.”

As for who’s more organized, well, that depends.

“He’s organized in terms of family schedule, his schedule, my schedule, what’s happening any given day,” Wentworth says of her husband. “I have the pantry organized and our underwear drawer is impeccable.”

“I have the check book organized,” notes the Good Morning America co-anchor. “She has this endearing habit — she doesn’t ask how much things cost before she buys them … to be fair, that has worked for us in the past.”
