Though Annalise let out a gut-wrenching wail upon discovering who was under the sheet in the season 3 premiere of How to Get Away with Murder, could she actually be the one to blame for the mystery person’s death?

During Thursday’s episode, Michaela (Aja Naomi King) admitted to Bonnie (Liza Weil) in the flash-forward that Annalise (Viola Davis) had called everyone to her house on the night of the fire, a red flag that will make everyone suspect that their fearless leader is actually responsible.

“That does look really suspicious,” King tells EW. “There’s a very good reason Michaela would suspect that Annalise had something to do with it.”

However, Davis doesn’t believe that Annalise is truly at fault. “I don’t think Annalise gets her hands dirty,” Davis contends. “At her core, she is a very, very good person and there’s heart there. As an actress as Annalise, that would to me be very frightening because I would think, how did that transpire?”

Now the question remains: Who’s under the sheet? That will be answered in the midseason finale. Here’s a sneak peek:

How to Get Away with Murder airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
