Celebrities pay tribute to Florence Henderson

Here’s the story of a lovely lady… and the many, many people who remember her fondly.

Actress Florence Henderson, best known for her role as Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch, died of heart failure Thursday at 82. Her career spanned decades, with roles on Murder, She Wrote, L.A. Law, Roseanne, Ellen, The King of Queens, Samantha Who, and 30 Rock, as well as reality shows including Dancing With the Stars and The Surreal Life.

“Florence Henderson was a dear friend for so very many years & in my [heart] forever. Love & hugs to her family. I’ll miss u dearly #RIPFlorence,” Maureen McCormick, who played Henderson’s TV daughter, Marcia Brady, wrote on Twitter.

“Deeply saddened,” wrote Barry Williams, a.k.a. Greg Brady. “Florence was one of the most gracious people I have ever known, Proud to call her Mom and life long friend. #RIPFlorence.”

“Heartbroken. I’ll miss you, my friend,” Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron wrote.
