Christmas just came early for fans of Hideo Kojima. After picking up his Industry Icon prize at the Game Awards on Thursday, the Metal Gear mastermind introduced an enigmatic new teaser for his upcoming video game Death Stranding.
“I brought an early gift for the holidays,” he said. “Please enjoy.”
As with the Norman Reedus-starring first teaser, the latest glimpse is high on atmosphere, low on exposition, and laced with star power. A digital incarnation of Guillermo del Toro is seen shepherding a baby in a high-tech incubator through a dystopian wasteland, while a pixel-perfect Mads Mikkelsen commands a squad of skeleton soldiers. Intrigued yet?
