'Sex and the City' creator enters 'The Broadroom' with web series

Candace Bushnell, creator of Sex and the City, will write a web series titled The Broadroom for the women’s lifestyle magazine More, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 90210’s Jennie Garth and Mad Men’s Talia Balsam will star in the women-in-the-workplace comedy, with four episodes scheduled to air online in September.

Kendra Wilkinson to pen memoir

Playboy model, reality show star and former Hugh Hefner playmate Kendra Wilkinson will write a memoir to be published next summer, according to a report from People. Wilkinson was featured on the E! reality show The Girls Next Door, along with Hef and his two other girlfriends, before starring in her own reality series titled Kendra.

'Saw' series to get seventh installment

Just as the teaser trailer for Saw VI hits the Web, Variety reports that Lionsgate has given the green light to the seventh film in the horror franchise. Mark Burg and Oren Koules, who have produced the entire series to date, return as producers, and Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, the writers behind Saw IV, V and VI, will script. Production is set to begin in January.

Former 'Late Night' director to helm primetime Leno show

Former Late Night With Conan O'Brien director Liz Plonka has been chosen to helm NBC's The Jay Leno Show when the former Tonight Show host makes his move to primetime, Variety reports. Plonka has previously filled in as director for Leno's Tonight Show, and her other credits include Mind of Mencia and The Showbiz Show With David Spade.
