Nothing says Christmas like family feuds. And no one battles better than Sonny and Cher whether they're happily married (as in their '72 and '73 holiday variety specials) or happily divorced (as in '76, when their traditional ''Jingle Bells'' opening is interrupted by a bartender asking two patrons, played by the duo, what gift Cher will be getting Sonny and she says, ''Last year she gave him the shaft!''). Along with more self-referential quips and saucy ''Sonny's Pizza'' sketches, there's also surprising depth. Watch for animated anti-racism and antiwar cover songs, and for four lonely strangers to share a Christmas Eve meal courtesy of a magical maître d'(Captain Kangaroo Bob Keeshan!).
EXTRAS Even the ''Christmas Video Jukebox,'' which cuts straight to the musical numbers, won't get you to Cher's lip-licking rendition of ''O Holy Night'' fast enough.
