'MEET' AND GREET Moviegoers will welcome the Fockers — to the tune of about $25 million

This year's Christmas weekend is one of the screwiest box office periods of the year, with some holiday releases already out and others not premiering until Christmas Day on Saturday. But one thing's for sure: It'll be a great three days for the Fockers.

Meet the Fockers, the sequel to the 2000 smash Meet the Parents, is certainly the most anticipated film of the weekend, thanks to the new additions of Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman to the already star-studded mix. Though it debuted on Wednesday, it'll still see a big weekend of about $25 million.

Meanwhile, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events will take a small tumble of 40 percent to $18 million in its second weekend, while The Aviator will jump to almost 1,800 screens on Saturday, which should help it gross about $10 million.

Ocean's Twelve will drop 50 percent to about $9 million in its third weekend, while the new movie version of the classic TV cartoon Fat Albert, which will waddle into multiplexes on Saturday and earn about $8 million its first two days. Not a bad Christmas present.
