We couldn't believe it: Finally, a film version of White Noise — Don DeLillo's 1985 National Book Award winner — with Michael Keaton to star! But alas, we were wrong. Keaton's supernatural pseudo-thriller isn't really based on the celebrated novel of societal numbness and paranoia. But in a coincidence that only DeLillo himself could imagine, the actor does appear in Game 6, a Sundance selection set amid the 1986 World Series, from a script by...Mr. Don DeLillo! As for an actual adaptation of White Noise, Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black) has optioned the book. May we suggest Michael Keaton for the lead?
