WHAT IT'S ABOUT A high-strung and high-tech group of detectives working at Judd Risk Management, a snazzy firm handling some of the sleaziest white-collar cases this side of Enron, all under the direction of cocky Harlan Judd (Daly).

WHAT TO EXPECT Offbeat criminals, intercubicle sparring, and — you go with your boundary-breaking selves! — a gay gumshoe/former mental patient (Enterprise's Worthy). ''No one had really taken the private-eye genre to the next level,'' explains creator John McNamara. ''We still think of private detectives as loners in down-at-the-heels offices with snappy assistants. Those things don't exist anymore.'' Adds Daly: ''Shows like CSI propelled the genre visually, but it's still people saying every line you've ever heard on Kojak. These characters are vivid and the personalities are strong.''
