Jump In! (2005)

Details Release Date: Jan 18, 2005; Writer: Mark Burnett; Genre: Nonfiction; Publisher: Ballantine

Want to get to know the real Mark Burnett, the man behind ratings powerhouses Survivor and The Apprentice? Look elsewhere. His so-called memoir, Jump In!, is as superficial as it is amateurishly written. Instead of providing juicy behind-the-scenes stories of botched adventures and cast cattiness, he rehashes the same shtick he's used in interviews. Worse, Burnett copies cohort Donald Trump's The Art of the Deal, filling 272 pages with endless self-praise, crappy life metaphors, and unmotivational words of wisdom.
