How do celeb kiddie authors stack up? -- We measure the children's book sales of stars such as Madonna and Katie Couric

Seems every celeb is writing a kids' book these days, but who's buying them? According to Nielsen BookScan, which tracks sales at more than 7,000 outlets nationwide, as of Jan. 20 Bill O'Reilly's The O'Reilly Factor for Kids has moved 185,000 copies since its November release — outshining other stars' 2004 tomes, including Madonna's The Adventures of Abdi. ''[Abdi] came on the heels of two other successful titles,'' notes a rep for Madge, ''so I wouldn't count her out as a children's book author.''

KATIE COURIC, The Blue Ribbon Day (Doubleday, $15.95, released Oct. 2004) 31,000 copies sold

BILLY CRYSTAL, I Already Know I Love You (HarperCollins, $18.99, released April 2004) 109,000 copies sold

JAY LENO, If Roast Beef Could Fly (Simon & Schuster, $17.95, released March 2004) 25,000 copies sold

MADONNA, The Adventures of Abdi (Callaway Editions, $19.95, released Nov. 2004) 15,000 copies sold

BILL O'REILLY, The O'Reilly Factor for Kids (HarperEntertainment, $22.95, released Nov. 2004) 105,000 copies sold
