A volatile yet lunkheaded remake of John Carpenter's 1976 B movie. In Detroit, a crumbly police station with drug officer-turned-desk jockey Ethan Hawke in charge comes under siege by a squad of rogue cops. It's none too plausible (wouldn't there be some way on God's digital earth to signal for help?), yet parts of the picture are fun anyway.
