Besides simply keeping her in the spotlight during the last few days of voting, Hilary Swank’s appearance on Saturday Night Live this past weekend also reminded us how amazing it is that such intense performances in Boys Don’t Cry and now, Million Dollar Baby came from such a regular gal. It’s still possible that an unforeseen groundswell for Imelda Staunton or Annette Bening could cause an upset here, but overall love for Million Dollar Baby should give the 30-year-old Swank her second Best Actress Oscar.
