Halle Berry is reteaming with the director who guided her to her Monster's Ball Oscar, and this time, she won't have to simulate sex with Billy Bob Thornton. According to Production Weekly, she'll play the legendary Egyptian queen Nefertiti in a historical epic to be directed by Marc Forster.
The Finding Neverland director is supposed to shoot the Egyptian tale early next year; this spring, he's shooting the Will Ferrell comedy Stranger Than Fiction. That could free up Berry's summer to reprise her role as Storm in the soon-to-shoot X-Men 3. She hasn't said yet whether she'll play the mutant superheroine again, but she could use a hit after Gothika and Catwoman, and if she doesn't think X-Men 3 would give her career a much-needed boost, she's already the queen of de Nile.
