All About

Antonio Banderas

Antonio Banderas was sadly overlooked for a Supporting Actor nomination for his voice work as Puss in Boots in Shrek 2, but he'll still get a moment in the spotlight at Sunday's Oscars. The Academy announced that he and guitar god Carlos Santana will perform ''Al Otro Lado del Rio,'' the Oscar-nominated song by Jorge Drexler from The Motorcycle Diaries. The song will mark the first Oscar appearance by both Banderas and Santana.

The film is about an episode in the pre-revolutionary life of Che Guevara, who was an inspiration for the character Banderas played in the film version of Evita. Shrek 2 will also be represented among the Best Song nominees in a performance of ''Accidentally in Love'' by Counting Crows. Beyoncé will perform the other three nominated songs: ''Believe'' from The Polar Express (in a duet with Josh Groban), ''Learn to Be Lonely'' from The Phantom of the Opera, and ''Look to Your Path'' from The Chorus (accompanied by the American Boychoir).
