Details Lead Performance: Youssou N'Dour

The Senegalese star forgoes his bubbly Afro-pop for this set of sacred songs, recorded with the keening strings of an orchestra. But even the polyrhythmic flair of the Arabian arrangements doesn't outshine the main attraction. N'Dour's melismatic meditation on his Muslim faith.
