I'd like to comment on Dan Snierson's article regarding lack of interest in awards shows (News & Notes). In his list of eight possible reasons, he failed to note what could be the biggest reason of all: People are tired of listening to stars stick their political opinions into acceptance speeches. Another possible reason is that we ''common folk'' get a little sick of the 10,000 shows in which entertainers award each other. Can you say ''boring''?
