Whitney Houston

Not even celebrities are exempt from the vagaries of airline food, as Whitney Houston discovered Thursday. According to BBC News, Houston was en route from Los Angeles to Spain when she took ill due to apparent food poisoning, forcing her to deplane when the flight made a scheduled stop in Paris. The 41-year-old was taken to the emergency room at the American Hospital. Her publicist, the aptly named Nancy Seltzer, released a statement, saying, ''Whitney Houston was rushed to a hospital in Paris because of severe vomiting. She was sick on the aircraft.''

Seltzer added that it was unlikely Houston would need to be admitted to the hospital, saying, ''She is doing well. She has gastroenteritis.'' It wasn't clear if husband Bobby Brown was with her, or if the incident will find its way into his planned reality series.
