It's 'mansquito' season and he's out for blood

9-11PM Mansquito (Sci Fi, TV-14-LV) There are better things on tonight, but none are called Mansquito. After a shoot-out near a nuclear reactor used to mutate mosquito DNA, an escaped killer transforms into a giant bloodsucker (left, with Musetta Vander, who costars as a scientist with whom he wants to mate). There's serious carnage from the get-go, but hour 2 is truly awe-inspiring (In a He flies!, Mansquito flies!! kind of way). Add in a Taser-packin' detective boyfriend (Parker Lewis Can't Lose's Corin Nemec) who actually says ''Hey, Mansquito!'' and it's Sci Fi's most inspired original pic to date. B —Mandi Bierly

9-11PM Thicker Than Water (The Hallmark Channel, TV-G) Melissa Gilbert is distraught to learn her dad was married to a rodeo queen. Get over yourself, hon — it's not like he was the rodeo queen (though that would've been awesome).

SEASON PREMIERE 11:30-MIDNIGHT Family Business (Showtime, TV-MA) Seymore Butts and clan return with an inside look at the porn biz. I mean, not inside. That'd be gross. It's more of a wide-shot view, which I'm told women prefer.
