What Not to Miss

What not to miss in music, DVDs, and games. Listen2This raves about the Decemberists tour, the Ramones DVD and Sony's ''God of War''

TOUR

THE DECEMBERISTS If you love a good sea chantey — and honestly, who doesn't? — then you won't want to miss the overliterate and slightly English warblings of frontman Colin Meloy of the Decemberists, whose spring tour kicks off on March 16 in Eugene, Ore., one week before their new album, Picaresque (Kill Rock Stars), sails into stores. DVD

END OF THE CENTURY: THE STORY OF THE RAMONES They coulda called it Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About the Ramones (and Shoulda Been Afraid to Find Out). Offers compelling (if sometimes depressing) proof that these punk progenitors were dizzy, damaged, dysfunctional, and doomed from the jump. (Out 3/15)

Comics

BUDDY DOES SEATTLE Lame poseurs and fake-ass punks all get skewered in this comic collection by Peter Bagge, which focuses on his misanthropic, underachieving antihero, Buddy Bradley. Guaranteed to make you feel better about your life. Or at least laugh at it. (Out now)

GAMES God of War (Sony, PS2, M) A world of Greek mythology you never learned about in high school is the setting for this stunning third-person action game. Silk-smooth controls, over-the-top action, and amazing graphics make God a great treat for mere mortals. (Out 3/22)

MUSIC Basement Jaxx: The Singles (XL) Few electronic acts have ever infused soulful house with such genre-defying creativity. (Out 3/21)

DVD

MORRISSEY: WHO PUT THE ''M'' IN MANCHESTER? ''I can't believe I'm 29 — where did the years go?'' muses the still-wry 45-year-old Mozzer on this live DVD of his triumphant birthday/hometown gig last year. The King of Mope rumbles through 19 songs — mostly his best solo material. (Out 3/29)
