With our fondness for behind-the-scenes series like Curb Your Enthusiasm, I'd love a snappy, single-camera twist on The Dick Van Dyke Show. The secret lives of TV writers for a comedy show (Van Dyke played head scribe Rob Petrie) could provide great meta-material. At home, the Petries' cheery marriage might prove that family sitcoms can be benevolent and still get laughs.
