Mario Vazquez fans who feared that he'd never release a CD after his unexpected exit from this season's American Idol need not worry: He already has. His voice is prominently featured on a flamenco disc rereleased just this week. Not only that, but Vazquez has retained the services of Atlanta attorney Jess L. Rosen, who reportedly helped former Idol runner-up Clay Aiken get out from under his management contract with show producer Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment.

Vazquez's publicist (yep, he already has a publicist) confirmed both pieces of information, first reported by Fox News' columnist Roger Friedman. However, the publicist denied Friedman's claims that the hat-loving singer is about to sign a recording contract with Sean Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment and a management deal with legendary producer Tommy Mottola, the ex-husband of Mariah Carey. ''Mario is still under contract with 19,'' the spokesperson told EW.com, claiming not to know the nature of Vazquez's relationship with Darque Records, the label behind Worlds of Change, by Argentine flamenco guitarist Cesar, which features Vazquez's vocals.

Friedman noted in his column that Vazquez's appearance on the record (which was rereleased this week, according to Amazon.com) was a possible violation of Idol rules that prohibit contestants from having any current recording or talent-management agreements. A publicist for the show declined to comment.
