In this whimsical tribute to Elvis Presley's music, small-town fools rush in to a tangled web of romantic comedy that marries the King to the Bard. When Chad (Cheyenne Jackson), a guitar-toting roustabout with blue suede shoes, blows into a tumbleweed town suffocating with morality, his pelvic thrusts jar the repressed residents into following their dreams. Natalie, the motherless motorcycle mechanic, falls for Chad, who falls for Miss Sandra, who falls for Ed, who is really (Twelfth Night alert) Natalie disguised as a man. While songs like ''Jailhouse Rock'' and ''A Little Less Conversation'' are the stars, Joe DiPietro's piquant script gives the show a freshness that old Elvis movies never had.
