At the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction dinner in New York three weeks ago, Neil Young felt his vision becoming blurry. The 59-year-old rocker went to his neurologist, who discovered a more serious problem: an aneurysm. Young's publicist announced Friday that he'd been successfully treated for the aneurysm on Tuesday at a New York hospital. Spokesman Bob Merlis told the Associated Press that the singer-songwriter was expected to make a full recovery.

Still, Young's doctors barred him from traveling, forcing him to miss a planned performance at Sunday's Juno Awards, Canada's Grammy equivalent. ''I'm really disappointed that I won't be able to make it to Winnipeg for the Junos as I had hoped,'' Young said in a statement. ''I grew up there and was really looking forward to the show as well as spending some time with my old friends and family. Thanks to my doctors, I'm feeling a lot better now so I hope I can get a rain check.''

At the Junos, Young's fellow Canadians paid him tribute. ''If there is a beacon or a bastion of an artist who has maintained his integrity, uncompromising vision, and purity, it is Neil Young,'' said k.d. lang, who sang Young's ''Helpless.'' According to Reuters, Juno producer John Brunton said Young was moved by lang's performance, which he watched at the Canadian consulate in New York.
