Where this generic R&B crooner won over middle-school shorties with 2003's breakup hit ''Don't Wanna Try,'' the marginal growth of his sophomore album — The One — shows he's now shooting for 10th-graders. And writing like 'em, too. On ''How to Deal,'' Frankie's blatant rip-off of Usher's ''Burn,'' he reveals painfully shallow skills: ''Ho's come along with luxury. . .this is the life that I was given.'' Dude, you're 26. Get your songwriting GED already.
