Swank and Lowe launch all-star game show. The Oscar winner and her husband will produce, and Chad will host, AMC's ''Celebrity Charades''

Hey, Hilary Swank, you just won your second Oscar — what are you going to do next? Why, produce a game show for basic cable, of course. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Swank, husband Chad Lowe, and actor-producer pal Bob Balaban (Gosford Park) are producing Celebrity Charades, which will air on AMC. Lowe and Balaban will take turns hosting the show, in which two teams of 10 stars will dine together and play the popular party game, acting out movie-themed titles and phrases, with the winners donating prize money to their chosen charities. Swank herself won't appear (she's been busy with other projects, Lowe tells the Reporter), but she's helped recruit the players, who include Bebe Neuwirth, Hank Azaria, Ana Gasteyer, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rosie Perez, Peter Bogdanovich and Isaac Mizrahi.

''Hilary and Bob and I have played [charades] on our own with friends, and we always end up having a bonding experience and learning something about the people who play,'' Lowe tells the Reporter. ''We were talking about it at dinner one night and thought it would make for so much of the comedy and conflict that Hollywood writers are dying to capture.'' The show will premiere on AMC on June 20, with six half-hour episodes airing on five consecutive nights.
