Stop making fun of those die-hard Star Wars freaks waiting outside of Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theatre for the May 19 premiere of Revenge of the Sith. Even if it turns out they've lined up outside the wrong theater (Twentieth Century Fox has the movie booked at the nearby ArcLight, not the Chinese, where the original Star Wars premiered in 1977), their cause is a noble one. In an age when classic movie culture is dying — MGM fades away, movie palaces get squeezed out by multiplexes, etc. — anyone mourning its passing should be heartened to see a band of rebels agitating for a bona fide movie experience. Obi-Wan has taught them well.
