THE LOWDOWN The British rockers' third album, X&Y, comes out June 7 — and the hint of new material is reason enough to care about their headlining gig at Coachella. But the crowd is most likely to demand the familiar tunes that showcase frontman Chris Martin's alluring vocals and the band's intricate melodies.

WHAT WE HOPE THEY'LL PLAY Martin (pictured) and Co. will surely perform hits from their previous two hugely successful albums, Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head. But wouldn't it be great to hear a lesser-known gem, the emotionally charged ''Politik''?

IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT TO COACHELLA... These blokes aren't going to be sticking around in the States long after the festival — they're playing San Francisco, Chicago, and Baltimore before returning to Europe for a summer tour. Lucky for you, they're expected to announce plans for more U.S. dates in late summer and fall. (Get tour details on their official site)
