New Order
Sun., May 1THE LOWDOWN Founded by former members of Joy Division, New Order provided the synth-pop soundtrack to many a disgruntled youth in the '80s and '90s, with songs in such movies as Pretty in Pink, Bright Lights, Big City, and Trainspotting. Their eighth full-length, Waiting for the Sirens' Call, was released April 26 to mostly positive reviews.
WHAT WE HOPE THEY'LL PLAY ''Blue Monday'' and ''Bizarre Love Triangle,'' of course! If they neglect to play these classics, expect riots after the show.
IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT TO COACHELLA... Sorry if you don't live in Chicago or New York, where the group will play in May, you're out of luck. The rest of their dates consist of festival appearances...in Europe. (Get tour details on their official site)
