Sat., April 30THE LOWDOWN No, they aren't really brothers, but that hasn't stopped Tom Rowlands (pictured) and Ed Simons, who met while studying in Manchester, from devouring all types of music (dub, techno, shoegazer, East Indian) and throwing out amazingly intricate records every few years. Push the Button, their thumpingly excellent fifth album, came out in January.
WHAT WE HOPE THEY'LL PLAY The trance-inducing ''Star Guitar'' (from 2002's Come With Us), followed by their beautiful breakbeat/techno manipulation of This Mortal Coil's ''Song to the Siren'' ('95's Exit Planet Dust).
IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT TO COACHELLA... Unfortunately, the Brothers won't be working it out much in the States — they have shows in Seattle and San Francisco scheduled before Coachella, but none after. (Get tour details on their official site)
