This must be one of the most abnormal love triangles ever: Alan, a hydrophobic accountant, is stalking Lynn, an apathetic gallery owner who's stalking Roland, a lawyer who happens to be Alan's racquetball partner. Amanda Filipacchi endows her characters with plenty of quirks Lynn, craving rejection, applies to the Hair Club for Men but few endearing qualities, and they become annoying very quickly. A film adaptation is already in the works from producer Michael Stipe and the team behind 2004's wicked Christian comedy Saved! These narcissistic nutjobs seem tailor-made for a 90-minute movie; in this 289-page book, Love Creeps, however, they're almost unbearable.
