Are the Black Eyed Peas breaking up?
Not according to them. Despite reports in the British press, all four Peas deny rumors that they are splitting after this album. ''It's hilarious and we're getting a lot of publicity for it,'' says Fergie. ''But nope, we're not breaking up.'' They are all working on side projects, however. Here's a look.
WILL.I.AM He's one busy Pea: As a producer, he's working on upcoming projects by Justin Timberlake, Pink, Carlos Santana, James Brown, and Aretha Franklin, among others. He's also helming a new label, will.i.am Music Group, to which he's already signed Macy Gray and Fergie (see below). And his clothing line you guessed it: i.am Clothing recently launched men's and women's collections of ''haute couture streetwear.''
FERGIE Actually begun before she joined the group, Fergie's still-untitled solo album is nearly finished and will likely come out before the end of the year.
APL.DE.AP To connect with his massive fan base in the Philippines (where he was born), Apl's solo debut album titled Half and Half will feature rapping in both Tagalog and English.
TABOO As for the fourth Pea, well, he's also working on a solo album. Mixing up Spanish and English rap with some reggaeton, Taboo's debut is going to be called Spanglish.
