Crime continues to pay for the former old folks' home: Thanks to midseason math-sleuthing drama Numb3rs (No. 35 — rankings are season-to-date through May 22), the Eye finally cracked Fridays at 10 p.m. The once-struggling The Amazing Race (season 6 was No. 31, season 7 was No. 25) — now among the net's youngest-skewing shows — continued to climb. Meanwhile, Friday night's older-crowd faves Joan of Arcadia (No. 74) and JAG (No. 48) will make way for a block of supernatural dramas starring hot young women (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Carla Gugino) next fall. ''We aren't kicking older viewers to the curb,'' says CBS senior executive VP Kelly Kahl. ''It's a matter of finding hits with broader appeal.''
