When we left off . . . Nate (Peter Krause), splattered with blood after witnessing the suicide of his murderous brother-in-law, had returned home, embraced his on-again-off-again lover, Brenda (Rachel Griffiths), and daughter, Maya, then said to Brenda, ''Let's get married and have a baby!''
Burning questions Will Nate be able to trust again after learning his late wife had been involved with (and had possibly cheated on Nate with) her sister's husband? Is Brenda finally ready to commit, or will she relapse into her pattern of relationship sabotage? And is little Maya ever going to speak a full sentence?
Interest level 3: It's time for this dreary couple to face some new challenges together — pregnancy, money problems, maybe remodeling the kitchen — or go their separate ways for good.
