Laura Cantrell moved to NYC from Nashville and ended up on Wall Street, but in a move that is every parent's nightmare — what of practicality, Laura? — she left equity analysis for country music's soft shuffle. Not that her mom and dad should be worried. On Humming by the Flowered Vine, Cantrell, with a voice reminiscent of Alison Krauss and melodies much the same, was born for this stuff. The stunning lilt of ''Khaki and Corduroy'' alone is worth banking on.
